Co-Founder and CEO
Richard Baer, co-founder and CEO of Legacy Capital Group California, has over 50 years of financial planning experience. A graduate of San Jose State University and USF School of Law, he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP® ), a securities-licensed Registered Representative (FINRA), an Investment Advisory Representative, a non-practicing attorney, and holds life and disability insurance licenses.
Today, Richard focuses much of his time seeking creative solutions to complex income and philanthropic planning situations. Creating diversification for clients with concentrated asset positions on a tax efficient basis has led Richard and the Legacy team to pursue sophisticated philanthropic, estate and insurance planning techniques. Combined with Legacy’s expertise in wealth transfer, risk management of investments and cash flow planning, Richard and the team are able to provide a full suite of financial services to their clients.

Brent is a co-founder and the President of Legacy Capital Group California and also serves as a Director. Brent’s mission is to help build a company that will change the way the financial services industry has traditionally conducted business. He believes the following principles must be stressed:
- Investors need to understand the importance of having a solid plan and investing by plan, rather than investing and hoping.
- Industry needs to change its primary focus from one that is product oriented to one that is planning-first oriented, with a secondary emphasis on the products.
- As part of the Plan Design and Investment Management teams, Brent is involved in all aspects of the planning and investment processes at LCGC.

Andy is a Principal of Legacy Capital Group and serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. As part of Legacy’s management team, Andy collaborates in developing both short- and long- term goals for the firm. Andy then determines how to best accomplish these objectives by harnessing existing resources and by leveraging outside relationships.
One of Andy’s central responsibilities is performing due diligence on new products/relationships Legacy may be considering that run the gamut from money managers to hedge funds. Day-to-day, Andy engages in continuing oversight of all managers and their products to ensure they remain true to their mandate and do not fall victim to drifting away from their investment style. He also works diligently to remain abreast of new trends within the industry while simultaneously maintaining contact and supporting Legacy’s ongoing relationships with its strategic partners.
Since graduating from Indiana University in 1994, Andy has spent his entire career in the financial services field. This experience has allowed Andy to appreciate both the investment side and the operational side of the business.

Kim serves as the Chief Operating Officer. She has spent her entire career in financial services, experiencing the financial services industry from all aspects: broker-dealer, investment manager, compliance, financial planner office, and client.
